@Seventeen Have you seen an OCD therapist? What you describe definitely has an OCD component it.
- Date posted
- 5y
@Fear Strikes Out No, i have not ?
- Date posted
- 5y
@Seventeen Definitely do that. What you are experiencing is definitely treatable. If it's OCD and you do not have tinnitus, then there is treatment available by a therapist. If you have tinnitus, then by a medical professional and maybe complimented by a therapist for any OCD aspects.

@Fear Strikes Out Ocd cab make you hear that Kind of noises?

@Seventeen I am not well versed about Tinnitus OCD. But, if you are constantly checking for the present of certain sounds in fear of having Tinnitus or even if you have it to check whether it is worsening, then that can be OCD-related.

@Fear Strikes Out Really recommend seeing a therapist. What is your fear? That you have tinnitus or that you do have it and it is getting worse?

@Seventeen By the way, thanks for raising the topic of Tinnitus OCD.

@Fear Strikes Out Well im scared of everything you said ?

@Fear Strikes Out Well I'm not constantly cheking but every time that i little sound comes i check if i still hear good or wtf.

@Seventeen I think it's best to see either an audiologist or therapist for more of an expert opinion. I understand that you are scared, but I think it would be the best course of action. Worrying about it and being scared is not going to help you.

@Fear Strikes Out I want to go but I'm scared because of my mom and she will start yelling at me and i don't want that.

@Seventeen What might you mom say if you said that you wanted to see a therapist for your worrying about having health issues?
- Date posted
- 5y
@Fear Strikes Out Well im not worry about that, im worried about what would say my mom about the tinnitus and everything about that, she would scream at me and i would cry and she would say that is my fault
- Date posted
- 5y
@Seventeen Do you mean what the therapist would say to your mom? If so, your therapist will be bound by confidentiality from disclosing anything about your sessions to your mom or anyone else unless you signed an authorized consent form permitting it. This applies regardless of who is paying for the therapy sessions (e.g., your mom's insurance).

@Fear Strikes Out No, its tha5 my mom controls me, so she would go with me to the doctor about the tinnitus and everything and i don't want that but if i say not to her she will just say "of course im going to go, im your mom and thats my right"
- Date posted
- 5y
@Seventeen OK. So, she is very controlling. And, you are probably on her insurance? What about if you saw a therapist (as this might be OCD-related)? Would she demand to sit in your sessions with the therapist as well?
- Date posted
- 5y
@Fear Strikes Out I don't know, maybe, and yes im in her insurance.
- Date posted
- 5y
@Seventeen What does she generally think about therapy?
- Date posted
- 5y
@Fear Strikes Out I really don't know, but when i was little we go to therapy because she thinks i was a really desperate kid because i wasn't organized and we went to therapy and she didn't almost let me talk and the psychiatrist tell her to stop talking and she was really mad and wr didn't come back
