Exactly. If you ever need anything, message on here and we will answer. To make ocd a little better (alternative to waiting it out), we can resist compulsions, even though it is so hard and scary, and we can expose ourselves 10 mins a day to an exposure, a video or book about our fear. It helps us learn we can handle any emotion ocd throws at us, so we are no longer enslaved by it!

asking if anyone else relates to this is unfortunately a form of reassurance seeking. Which, along with compulsions, are the 2 solitary things that continues the ocd cycle. Please try and sit with the terrifying emotion of dread or shame or panic, and begin to teach yourself that you can, in fact, Handle any emotion that life or ocd makes you fear. Your brain doesn't want to do this because it has been taught to avoid its emotions through ocd, but it can.
