Praying or watching antique exploring YouTube videos as well as skincare too ??
Oooh antique exploring videos. Like antiques roadshow?
@catattak I’ve never heard of that one but I love watching a channel called “Curiosity Inc” ! It’s so fun to see all of the old treasures one man journeys to find. You definitely should check him out!
i would recommend hyram!!
@getwellsoon I really enjoy watching his videos!! Lol I found him months ago and he’s changed my skin care game for the better ???
@Link I will definitely check that out!
@Link literally same! he’s also really funny
Animal Crossing has brought my joy during this time. Gardening and focusing on my pets.
Animal Crossing helped me soooo much back when it came out
the way i haven’t been able to play it ):
I feel good when I watch those old videos of Mr. Rogers. Seeing a person so real as he was, was just so good. One video that really struck me was when he talked about death and explained it to children. It was such a validating experience. He used the example of his pet dog which died when he was a child. He doesn't sugarcoat death for kids, and he just explains it in words that are simple - he wasn't being condescending. You probably know how adults in real life talk to kids like they're idiots who can't understand painful emotions, and have to dumb down their words... Mr Rogers wasn't like that. His videos made me feel at peace with myself. That I could really be loved, for who I am, and I didn't have to try so hard to be someone I am not to deserve love.
I feel happy hanging out with my brother at the end of the night where we watch the anime we’ve been watching and eat snacks together. I’m also happy going out with close friends and laughing and enjoying their company. I feel safe when I go to bed at night, I feel safe when I’m able to calm down and get my anxiety under control :)
love this comment! sounds like me and my brother before my main theme hit and kinda took a toll on our bond it’s still there but there’s a bit of anxiety still. we both love watching anime as well. also love that you feel safe when you’re able to calm down!!
i do the same thing with my sister! what anime have you two been watching?
@ocdsurvivorem Dr. Stone and One Piece! :) you?
@Evelyn4416 We’ve been watching Dorohedoro and Death Note!!
Snuggling with my puppers. Making music with my hubby. Swimming in the lake.
this all sounds so nice and fun
I love love love immersing myself in concept albums, or just discovering music in general. I've been rediscovering things I used to listen to as a teen. Shit, EDM is still amazing as fuck.
love this!! i love finding new music to listen to as well. also i love your enthusiasm
@getwellsoon Awh, really? I dont see myself as very enthusiastic, but thank you so much!
I watch this olllld show from the 60's called family affair. It's literally the most light hearted, simple, basic show I've ever seen. It has a story line, but because it's from the 60's every plot is simple, not triggering, and resolves happily. It easily puts me to sleep in some of my worst times. When my husband had covid at the very start and everything was death and lockdowns, I was absolutely running myself raw. I wasn't eating or sleeping. I couldnt think straight and all I did was cry and feel like throwing up ut I had nothing to throw up. Even in that absolutely terrifying time, that show gave me some form of...comfort? I dont know. My mother suggested it to me and you can watch it for free on tubi. It may sound odd but I really reccomend it. It's like nothing else. Also I watch original early runs of mr. Roger's or Bob Ross.
i can totally to the not eating or sleeping and anxiety induced gagging and since I wasn’t eating the thoughts would get me so scared i would start gagging and it would just hurt my throat and stomach because i couldn’t throw up anything cause there was nothing in there. but also there is something comforting about older shows back in the day maybe it is the simple feeling to it but this sounds like a good suggestion! also i’m proud of your progress
@getwellsoon Yes something about the idea of simpler times that tends to help :)
tabletop rpgs, relaxing video game music, laughing with friends, listening to audiobooks with my sister, hugs, playing guitar with my friend, being cozy inside when it’s raining, holding my furbabies, waking up in the morning and seeing my parents and my sister, swimming in the ocean.
A big hug from my boyfriend
the sky definitely! the sunsets and clouds ugh it’s just so pretty and relaxing. my favorite youtubers dan and phil are very comforting to watch. seeing my girlfriend makes me so so happy. getting out of the house makes me happy, i really hate being home. and on a good day when i’m not super stressed out and can watch anime without being immensely triggered, anime gives me so much happiness and emotion and excitement :)
Writing and talking about the stories my brother and write together. They're where I can express my interests and feel grounded with the healthy input of my brother's imagination. Practicing my craft is one. I'm sorry if anyone is sensitive to the topic of witchcraft. But cleansing my space and lighting my candles for Artemis are so calming to me. Meditating and doing my own research on the craft and learning how to express myself through it is the best thing on a sunny day. And watching twitch stream and theory vidoes on my favorite franchises are an amazing distraction and time passer!
hey can people comment some happy things for me to read, today has been really hard and all I’ve been doing is crying
everybody vent what’s going on or what you’re stressing about. this is always a safe space 🌤🤍🌈✨💗
