Haven’t tried that one. Effexor XR and Trintellix is working for me, I’ve tried Prozac, Buspirone, Risperdone, and Hydroxyzine to sleep. The psychiatrist finally gave me Effexor because my mother had been taking it for nine years and so I guess genetically it’ll work better for me. What have you tried as far as SSRI’s?

I'm on Effexor right now, have been for a few weeks. My doctor mentioned Trintellix. So the both of them seems to be a good combo for you. I have tried Prozac, Buspar, Zoloft, Lexapro, Luvox, Anafranil, and others I cant think of. Also tried Adderall, seemed to help then made it worse. It has literally just been an uphill battle for years and years now.

@Melissar3 I’ve heard it can be like that. It may take awhile but hopefully you’ll find something that will work for you. As Katie explained, nobody here can tell you what will happen if you take certain ones but we can and have shared with you that you’re not alone and it may take some time for you and your doctor to find the right fit! Good Luck! We’re in this together!

I take effexor 150mg and lithium 300, its either not as effective as it used to or my ocd has evolved beyond it. And it doesn't hurt I'm 20 weeks pregnant.

No one here is qualified to discuss specific medications with you. You need to speak with your doctor. Other people's individual experiences with medication have zero predictive value as to what you're experience with it will be. Instead of seeking certainty about how medication will impact you (which is impossible to achieve), we can discuss how to tolerate uncertainty. We can also talk about how to handle side effects, how to talk to our doctors assertively, how to respond to friends or family who have different opinions about meds, or explore our own complicated emotions and beliefs about them. What isn't healthy for us to do is talk about specific medications

All I was doing was asking about different medications as I have had no luck with any. And I never said I expect my experience to be like others with any medication. Just stating my experiences and was wondering about others. Isn't that what we are supposed to do on here...talk with others about our OCD. Thanks for shutting what I say down. Wow.

I have no certainty about anything to do with OCD which is why I'm talking about it on the app. You need to watch what you say to people because shutting people and their ideas, questions, and experiences is wrong and rude.

What you said is not helpful whatsoever. Some advocate you are. Deleting this app now. You can go fuck yourself. You cant tell me what I can and cant say or ask about my and other people's experiences. It is called conversation. You're a rude bitch.

Don’t do that please, we are all together in this and sometimes written messages may come across harsh but I hope and don’t think Katie meant any offense. Please stay on the platform. If you need to know anything else or just need to rant... WE’RE HERE FOR YOU
