@Jamark you’re so early!! that’s good. the thoughts might not stop because you’re paying tons of attention to it:( try not take them seriously. it takes practice, but it’ll be worth it. also, try to get professional help!

Sounds like HOCD to me! https://ocdla.com/sexual-orientation-hocd-gay-ocd-treatment-1969/ And it sounds like you’re doing lots of mental compulsions which is why this obsession is taking hold. Have you worked with an OCD specialist before? Do you know how to treat your OCD with ERP and CBT? If not, can you reach out to one? The sooner you get help the better. You don’t have to suffer like this.

@Jamark Many therapists will provide a sliding scale for people who can’t afford it. In the mean time, get yourself an OCD workbook and some other readings: https://ocdla.com/ocdreadings You are not going to lose yourself. But you are going to need to put in some work to understand the disorder you have and how to manage it. Everything you’ve described is very common for this disorder, and luckily we have very effective treatments (namely CBT, ERP, and mindfulness.) the first step is to educate yourself on each of these. The next is to start practicing them. The final is to get really good at them so you can choose the best tools for you when OCD hits.

Any of them. The theme of your OCD actually doesn’t matter. All OCD themes are the same OCD and are treated the same way.

Hey Mark. I am a girl. I suffer to from HOCD. I got it first when I was 13 and at 27 it git back stronger. I am a girl and I am straight, my HOCD makes me think I am a lesbian.
