Do you have a therapist? You can go to iocdf.org and find an OCD specialist near you. This is probably happening because you’re afraid you like it and your brain is playing tricks on you. Try accepting the uncertainty. Once you start to accept that you have the thoughts, you’ll start feeling better. You could also try ERP, but it’s better to talk to a specialist to get a therapy plan worked out. You’re not alone and you’re not the only one who gets thoughts like this.

You’re definitely overthinking it, but we all do that because of OCD. The thought itself isn’t “disgusting” it’s just a thought. The thought has no mean at all. You’re OCD is making you question things and your anxiety is making you uncomfortable. I think you’re looking for reassurance on this app which a totally normal response to anxiety, but OCD can have enough reassurance. It doesn’t matter what the thought makes you feel because the bottom line is that it’s causing anxiety and making you want to seek reassurance. The best thing you can do is to stop seeking reassurance by accepting the uncertainty. I do feel the same sometimes and question if I like the thoughts, doubt is a huge part of OCD. I’m happy taking is helping you to feel better, I’m trying hard to not give you reassurance because I want you to recover. This is an amazing app with wonderful people. You’re a great person too, and you can recover from this.

I don’t know why it does this. I remember the same thing happening to me when my obsession first started. I pictured my boyfriend as a kid and thought I was attracted to him as a child and I panicked. I really believe this is all OCD. There’s nothing wrong with thinking a kid is cute, but OCD tries to tell us that it means something more than that. It really is just an anxiety disorder, even though it feels real. Something that I like to do when I’m ruminating or analyzing my thoughts (to me it seems that that is what you’re doing and I find myself doing it all the time!) I like to ask myself “in this exact moment, what do I want to do?” Usually it’s watch tv, hang out with boyfriend, draw or paint, play games on my phone, etc. We worry too much about the what if’s that we don’t focus on what we truly want. I also read this post once about rumination. It talked about how rumination is like playing tug of war with OCD, we keep going back and forth trying to figure out what our thoughts mean but OCD keeps throwing in new what if’s and it’s a never ending tug of war. Basically, you need to stop tugging and fighting it. You just need to drop the rope. When you find yourself ruminating, remind yourself that you’re playing tug of war with ocd and imagine yourself dropping the rope and letting go.

It’s definitely all part of your OCD. You could try going iocdf.org to learn about OCD, or Ali Greymond on YouTube, and following accounts like Shannon Shy on Facebook. They are al very helpful for OCD. Anything that has to do with your OCD theme is OCD, try labeling it as such. It seems like OCD is really hard for you right now and it might really difficult to just ignore the thoughts. Try labeling the thoughts. When they pop into your head, tell yourself it’s not me, it’s OCD, this helps you separate yourself from it. Try not to let it become a compulsion. Once you are able to differentiate between ocd thoughts and your thoughts, you can start to just let them be there. Whether it’s a thought, urge, impulse, sensations, anything to do with your theme, label it as OCD and try to let it go.

U feel the same year when ur not sure if u like the bad thoughts or not n how comes I find them bad n disturbing but not disgusting I only find things to do with poo n stuff like that disgusting that how i see that word or maybe I’m overthinking it what do u think? Xx

@0823 I really worried about a saw my bf child hood pic n felt like I’m attracted more to my bf n I think ocd has used that to trick me into thinking I like my bf when he was a kid because he is handsome n cute y does it do this

Thank u so much what a relieve That I’m not the only one going through this I sometimes think whatever I don’t care anymore that I’m a pedo because I’m so exhausted I really want to enjoy my life n do what other 19 year old do n I feel like I can’t cause I have no control over my mind n emotions n feelings n sometimes in public I just purse out crying n feel so embarrassed I haven’t been out properly with my friends for so long
