I'm panicking a bit, I woke up to multiple bug bites in groups of two around my ankles and on my back, so naturally, I googled it. It said that it may be bed bugs, and it's making me feel disgusting. Does someone else also experience this? If so, was it bed bugs? And if it was bed bugs, how did you get them out?

Hey! Sorry this is happening to you. I had bedbugs a long time ago. If it is what you have, and if you live in an apartment, usually the building manager will send someone to check to see if it is bedbugs and then take care of it for you. Additionally, if it is bedbugs, remember that they die with heat and sun. You’ll want to toss all your clothes in the dryer and store them in plastic bags until you know they’re gone. Leave any suitcases or bags out in the sun for a day or two. A bed bug protector for your mattress will help, too. It will not allow any bedbugs to get in or out of your mattress. You can keep it on there forever so it’s always protected. They also sell bedbug powder that you can sprinkle around on your floors that supposedly kills them. I used it, but I’m not sure if it was that or the exterminator that worked. If you are itchy, try calamine lotion, rubbing alcohol, or topical anti-itch cream. I hope this helps! Bedbugs are so annoying but I was able to live in my apartment peacefully for 3 years after they were gone :)

Thank you so much, I'm so glad you solved your bed bug problem! Do you recommend I just throw my sheets in the dryer? And if you can put a link as to where i can get a mattress protector I'd be so thankful. I just recently got a new mattress, so maybe they were in there? Ugh, makes my skin crawl.
