Hey, this sounds exactly like what I went through at the beginning of the year. Literally to a T, with the depersonalization and it linking to trauma from drug use. Im doing therapy with NOCD now and its helped so much. Also accepting that the depersonalization is there, and allowing it to run its course without trying to get rid of it is actually the best way to ger rid of it! Allowing it to be there and realize that its not dangerous is what will get it to go away. I just continued to do go on with life the best I could even tho I felt super depersonalized. Eventually it faded slowly. Another thing that helped was I stopped looking up DP online. I just want you to know that youre not alone!

Thank you so much for the info. This was important to hear because I haven’t heard of many OCD correlated to trauma at all.

@Anonymous Youre welcome! And sometimes the experience with depersonalization and so much anxiety can cause trauma in itself. Just remember that you can get through this, no matter how awful it feels ❤

@Ladyoftheleaves22 Yeah I had depersonalization last year and I thought I was over it but in reality it was traumatizing.

@Ben84 I plan on it. I’m just scared it won’t be helpful because I’ve fallen into a huge red zone for like 2 months.

I’m just hoping I can overcome this DEpersonalized state. I was able to last year during an OCD episode, but this year feels a lot more frightening because I have no reason to go outside due to covid. I can’t work outside because family is high risk, so it just sucks, I’m trapped to the room to do nothing every day and it’s frightening.
