OCD will never go 100% away, im diagnosed 10 years go with 3 major stepbacks, but after each relapse i learned to manage OCD better. I have learned that enough sleep en good stress management are very important to keep the OCD at bay.

Hey I’m 17 too my older brother who’s 19 now is growing out of it, he used to have hocd and was bad with washing his hands so he’s grown out of it!!

@takingdownocd I have hocd now rip but he did grow out of hocd!! I don’t know if he had pocd he never spoke to me about it

So my ocd stared in the start of august 2013 and it all started in a diary I had to write everything done or else I got stress d or anxious. I would get obsessed and comprised and the most littlest things. Eventually I chucked the book out cause I couldn’t deal with it. But over the years I’ve keep getting intrusive thoughts, rituals and started repeating that I must do. I have to do everything 5,3 and 8 times and more numbers. I like 5 because it is exactly a half of 10 idk why. I hate the number 9, 2, 7 and more cause they give me anxiety idk why, Even with food I need to have a specific number and eat at a specific time. Food causes stresses and anxiety and this sometimes makes me sick and not eat.

@louisa12345 I did the SAME thing with the number thing only in 3s but now I don’t. I promise you you can stop doing that I don’t do it a all anymore! Have you talked to a therapist?

@louisa12345 I’m just scared they won’t understand cause they think ocd is a good thing like cleaning and ordering ur room but they don’t know the extend of the disirder

@louisa12345 Well clearly you do. I would say to them “ok if you don’t think I have it let me go get tested and if I don’t have it we won’t talk about it anymore” then you’ll have proof.

@takingdownocd I’ve done a lot of online tests and I get severe ocd majority of the time I know that’s now a diagnosis but it means something. Once when I told my sister I had it she was like no ocd it is a mental Illness and u don’t have it.

I feel like sometimes and YouTube I need to replay because of something I said in my head or an action and if I don’t perform these rituals I get tremendous anxiety and feel like I can’t do anything. I feel defeated when I don’t do these complusions in response to my obsessive thoughts. I did I know it’s crazy but this is what I do.
