Actually, it is very scary, in my firsts sessions i was suffering so much fear and anxiety that i was feeling paralized and so much fisic symptons but in almost 2 months i have achieve what in other countries take ages. I have harm ocd and another subtypes and there are a lot of hours in a day that i have no obsessions. But to achieve this, you have to be very strong because the fear in ERP is really hard.

So when I was doing erp for my harm ocd in the US I would do it with whatever thing increased the anxiety like scissors or a baseball bat

Congrats. You are so much better just only after 2 months. That is awesome. How much erp do you do in a day?

I do one ERP in a day and it takes about 35 minutes (but the days i see the specialist i do my own plus another one with him) But it is so strong that you can feel horrible. Normally in the last minutes you feel calm. After a storm comes the calm.

@iru1234 I feel so horrible right now because I just did some exposures. Trying to not do compulsions. Ocd fears can feel so real and strong.

@Sunflower 1234 Thats not a problem to me anymore. I have felt so much fear in exposures that right now thats not a problem. The problem is the frecuency of the obsessions but not the intensity, and im working on that. I only can tell you that if your US treatment doesnt work, you can find an ocd specialist here doing ERP in skype (mine is OCD specialist alejandro ibarra and i think they have english workers). But keep with your treatment im sure you can do it.

@iru1234 Thank you. That is very kind of you to offer this info. I am always intrigued to learn about how therapy is done in other countries. I am happy for you that you are making good progress.
