@Sadman I have pure OCD, however, I struggle very deeply with real event OCD, self hatred, and guilt particularly with things I did in the beginning of my relationship that I deeply deeply regret and I have a immense struggle of self forgiveness ever since I was young, this I ruminate a lot

@Sadman It is intending difficult, especially because I know with all of my heart how I would never in a million years do those things again, and that I love my partner with more than my heart

@mimimi I know what you mean, I’ve done some pretty shitty things I’ve told her about it tho but now my minds making more false memories about things adding on to the truths and trying to find other times I may have done something wrong

@Sadman I haven’t, usually my dreams are a bit mor violent and explicit, particularly involving me trying to say no to guys and telling them I have boyfriend with them proceeding to either assault me, continue pursuing me, or TW: rape me

@mimimi I got a memory where some girl said something to me in class like I think she called me her son or cute or something I honestly don’t remember I don’t think I said anything to her back but idk if It was before or after in a relationship. I feel really guilty can you give me a suggestion what I should do ? :(

@Sadman I think what is best here is he uncertainty, your mind is not able to conclude whether or not this took place before or during the relationship which means that there is no EXACT answer, so what is the point of worrying about something that may not even be worth spending time towards. The situation at hand is, you do not clearly remember, so the devil that OCD is will make you rethink it one million times

@mimimi Hey it’s me again and yesterday was the worst day of my life. The thing I did to my gf was told to people because she was drunk and emotional. Now I’m getting more thoughts about what if I did more things and it’s killing me sorry to bother you but idk what to do anymore

@Sadman Let’s make sure to ground ourselves, right now is a very vulnerable, emotionally unstable time for you and that is okay! What is important to make sure we work to bring ourselves back to what is real, so that we can move forward and tackle on the intrusive thoughts. First, focus on your breathing, understand that it is real and that you can control it. Next remember a good memory, one that you know happened and is real. Now that you have stabilized a sense of reality, it is important for you to recognize that OCD will constantly bring you down, no matter if you confess or not, OCD is not your friend and it is not looking to help you, so these drives to confess and push to ruminate are lies OCD is telling us that would make us feel better, when in actuality they will not
