I have done all of these things :-( Nothing seems to help right now. I keep telling myself this too shall pass, but I’m really struggling with this. Not sleeping and then dealing with the OCD on top of it.

@lypc I am so desperate at this point I’m debating taking OTC like Advil PM. I dislike medications but none of the natural remedies are helping me. Do you have any experience with Advil PM or other suggestions regarding that? I just need to get a few hours because I’m in the vicious cycle of sleep anxiety and now don’t sleep

@kitty5280 I've been down the slippery slope of taking sleeping pills and I will say, please stick to natural remedies like melatonin or valerian root. Even otc sleep aids can create physical dependence, and your insomnia will get worse when you build up a tolerance. As lame as it sounds, when I can't sleep i just think oh well. This coming from someone who got 2 hrs sleep last night. The more fear, dread and mental effort u put into ur insomnia will only increase it. Its torture but focusing on ur breathing as u lay there all night is really all we can do on those tough nights

I’ve started vaping CBD/THC at night. I used to Before when I had bouts or period of insomnia but now I find my self constantly vaping every night. Not sure if it’ll help you or if it’s the right medication to take since it may cause more anxiety in some people. I’ve always been sensitive to THC and when I’ve vaped even small amounts of THC I’ve found myself getting panicky but now since I’m in such distress I really feel it helps. I don’t feel as anxious, my legs aren’t as restless, my thoughts are there but I don’t worry too much about them. I can’t say it puts me right to sleep but it does help me go to sleep faster than if i didn’t vape.
