@DJ You can never know for 100% sure if itâs real or not. You have to tell yourself maybe it is maybe itâs not

@DJ I just watched a video by Ali greymond on YouTube that talks about this exact thing. It says it is completely normal! I encourage you to look it up! Also what would you say yours is like? Like how are the thoughts? I'm probably just asking for reassurance but I want to compare with mine

@DJ That's how I am. My mind says you just think you'd be judged by the world for this and I just want to continue with my day

@DJ I totally understand. Thatâs how I was! Try doing something you enjoy. And I encourage you to listen to Ali Greymondâs videos, they really help. And do what she says! It sucks but the only way around the anxiety is through! You can do it!

I keep having thoughts that this is what I want and I keep thinking it's true. It feels true and real but I'm so anxious đ

@GJ7 Well I have a religious obsession that I want to be bad person and do bad things. It feels very real. My cousin is doing some things that go against my religion and my brain tells me k want to be like her. When I am playing the gane among us online abd people cuss I think how I wish I was bad like them but that i want to do worse things that would make me go to jail probably. I can't shake it. Then afterwards I was like "no" but then I was like "yes I would so my cousin would accept me and not judge me for my good choices" I am afraid I will become like her. It feels like my mind wants to. Maybe I dont want her to judge me but I don't want to be bad! I think at least. My mind and feelings wrre saying that I did though and that I wanted to do awful things and it felt true and I kind of feel like I agreed with it and I am so confused. Whay should I do? I know I would not act on these thoughts but these ones felt real and different! I am thinking they may have been true and I dont know what to do because I keep anayzing

@anyonymous I understand how real ocd thoughts can be. But remember theyâre just thoughts! If I think âIâm the richest person in the worldâ does that mean itâs true? Try not to argue with the thought and say âyeah maybe I am bad but who caresâ. Donât give it attention. Itâs like a scary hungry monster. The more you think and analyze it the more youâre feeding it. When you stop feeding it, it dies.

@GJ7 Yes you're right. I've been trying to do that this evening and hhave seen some improvements! I keep going back to it but I keep trying to say they are just thoughts! Thoughts aren't actions and thoughts aren't always true! My main problem would be some of them feel like desires or wants and I am not sure how to tell if that's true. So I feel like I need to analyze this because if they are my true wants that would mean I'm bad or that they could happen :( any tips for this? I know you arent a counselor but any advice would be good!!

@anyonymous Yeah try experimenting with it. Try agreeing with the thought and then see if you do it or if the thought happens.
