I don't worry about this as much as I could but it does catch me off guard at times. It is still your OCD trying to find a different way to survive. The fact that you've caught on to it is a great step (no pun intended) in the right direction. Now you know you just need to not worry about it and practice your ERP's surrounding this theme. In time your OCD will find a different theme but that won't last forever either. Eventually the OCD will just give up entirely and you'll be doing great.

I’ve done erp in the past and little much on it recently on my own trying to resist compulsions that r a result of obsessive thought. I am still struggling I wish I was normal? Wish I had a much better life one that is stressful and relaxed

It is a constant struggle. I know how painful it can be. Keep up the good work though. Your ERP will take time but it will always bring positive results. Eventually you'll be able to relax a bit more and have less stress. You might not be normal but you will always be unique and that is what makes you special. You are a fighter and you will beat this. I believe in you! Good luck. :)

I am with you. I had it for 8 years undiagnosed and now less than a year officially diagnosed. I know how hard it is. We suffer so much and life becomes blurry after a while. It's easy to feel alone. I feel like that all the time but we always have each other. The other people who suffer from OCD are all here together and we can all support each other when times get tough. You will succeed my sister. If you have had it for 7 years and you are still fighting, you are much stronger than you realize. You are powerful because the OCD has been fighting you for 7 years and you are still standing! You are a champion!

I like to think I’m strong for tolerating the ocd but I wish others outside of this app knew the extent of it and how it really affects me. I’m afraid of what my family would think of me if this ever comes out. The ocd all started in a diary where I had to write about anything like what happened at school today. The diary really triggered me so I got rid of it years ago I regret ever using that diary.

@louisa davoil It doesn't matter when or how it started. As long as you want to fix it now, that's all that matters. I hope you're seeing a therapist and if you're not I hope you go see one soon. It will help with everything. :)

@OCDeezyFosheezy I hope I get well soon I really need to see one cause I’m pretty messed up and this isn’t me. I don’t want my parents worrying and stressing about me since my sister also sees a physiologist. I know if I talk to someone I will feel happy but I don’t want my siblings judging me if the truth would come out
