If it's obsessive and it's distressing I'd say it's OCD. Does it give you axiety as well?

@ButterflyStar I'd say it's definitely OCD then. You are obviously a nice and good person if you are worried about saying something rude in your head of all places

I used to have the same issue, it is OCD related also anxiety related. I remember having a terrible anxiety, my head full of thoughts and I would just lash out when someone was talking to me about something irrelevant for too long, because I didn't have mental space to process it. But when you write about thinking "bad things/noticing them" these were intruisive for me, I used to feel like a terrible person

Yes! I feel like an awful selfish, bad and evil person. Did you overcome this? And if so, what was helpful? π Thank you so much for commenting I really didn't think anyone would even reply

@ButterflyStar I learned to set boundaries for people. Like for example if someone was venting to me about something and I my self had a bad day, I would say something like: I am sorry that you had a bad day, I did too and I really don't have a mental space to talk about anything right now. Maybe we could watch a movie instead and talk later? And about the thought, just ignore them. I think of them as a loud annoying neighbor, who talks nonsense. I know I am not my thoughts, and I know you are not yours :)
