Hey Dess! I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. OCD & depression can feel very isolating. When I was struggling really bad I remember feeling this exact way. Do you see a therapist?

I am currently not in therapy I kind of set myself back because I felt okay during the summer and winter has just hit me hard I'm currently trying to find employment so I can afford therapy again it's just hard doing it alone thank you for responding :)

@Dess And you’ve tried explaining ocd to them? Through videos and sites already too im guessing? Sometimes it’s hard for people to understand unless they themselves are going through it which sucks, but we can still try our best to help them understand. Regardless if they fully get it or not though they would want you to get better right?

@Coul.C This whole year I've been struggling and been very open about it and now I'm back to square one I don't know I'm just very lost and I feel like dying

@Dess Im also struggling with depression. Having both ocd and depression can be confusing sometimes. I was literally resisting a compulsion of mine and it made me feel so uncomfortable i exclaimed to my mom “i hate everything” which she went on to say was going to make life unpleasant for me in return (im assuming becauae having a negative mindset sometimes makes you view things negatively in turn) what im trying to say here though is that it is easy to look at all the bad in life and it’s really hard when everything around you seems dark to find happiness but it is there, it’s annoying to hear sometimes but you can find that happiness. Even when things seem dark try to be the postivity you want to see in your life

Don’t give up!! It may be hard for some people to understand what you are going though (along with millions of other people who have ocd) because they may not be educated on what ocd is and how it works, especially if they don’t have ocd. Just know that you’re not alone, and that there are millions of people going through the same exact thing that you are going through. You’ll eventually get through this and it will all get better. :)

@Dess You won’t lose to it! It will get better! Try watching some videos and reading articles on some types of therapies and meditations and other stuff like that you can do on your own until you can start therapy. You’ve got this!! You will get through this!

@Dess You won’t lose. None of us will in the long run. I think ocd wants us to stay in those dark places where we can’t leave our beds because then it’s winning

@Madeline You guys are amazing. I know most people have it way easier than me but it's just hard when on the outside you seemingly have it good but you yourself are not good so I apoligize if I sounded very dramatic and I really appreciate you both taking the time to respond to me and give me encouragement 🤍😭

@Dess Don’t ever put your feelings down. Everything you experience is important too. I’ve done that many times and it honestly makes me feel worse. And of course there are so many people here willing to help. I know sometimes it can seem like nothing will get better but it will

@Dess No problem! And not everyone has it way easier. So many people are going through the same thing you’re going through. And so many people are going through way worse too. Some of the times you don’t even know the things people are going through. Also you don’t sound dramatic and you shouldn’t apologize for how you feel. Just know you all are gonna get through this!! It will get better!!
