Stay distracted until you go on the trip! My guess is the reason you’re so anxious is because you’re judging your thoughts, thinking it’s going to be really bad if you go. There’s no such thing as “really bad” there’s only uncomfortable. The best way to relax and not let past events affect you is to simply just allow the anxiety to come in, and allow it to leave. DonT react to it, and remeber response preventions is what is going to help. Treat this as just another OCD theme, because that’s what it is, OCD trying to tell you you can do fun things bc the fear of something happening again. Good luck!

Sometimes the best remedies are the simplest remedies..... Go and spend a devoted amount of time distracting yrself and doing something that you enjoy..... watching a show.... scrolling on social media... calling a friend..... whatever it is do it ! And sometimes this will lessen the anxiety OCD load
