Maybe it's not what you mean but please pay attention to what you say. Saying "OCD is fake" implies that it's not a real mental illness, which is obviously false. And don't forget that some people (like me) have obsessions and compulsions over things that can truly happen (unfortunately), which make it even more hard to fight against this mental disorder

He means the fears of OCD are just that, fears. Not real life. They could happen but they won’t because they are our biggest fears. The opposite of our nature. We feel like we need to protect ourselves and others by fighting the fears but they are like shadows. There’s is no substance to them as real and scary as they look.

For the things that could happen like getting a disease, there is nothing we can do and fearing it doesn’t make it happen or not happen. We need to give up the need to control everything as hard as it is.

I was so triggered with your first sentence. Ocd isn't fake at all. It's very fucking real. And there is real help to really heal and increase your own life's quality.

@anjuli then he should has said this instead of "ocd is fake". I know what he means, and I only say that he should pay more attention to what he is posting. For the things that could happen irl, they are real. I have an obsession about something that has happened in my past and that could happen anytime if I don't do my compulsions.

If the word fake offends you I didn’t mean it at all that way. I suffer everyday all day, just had a trigger from the word “dude” I’m simply saying that OCD thoughts and feelings r just a part of the mind. Real life fears exists, and can be feared, but they don’t need to be obsessed over. Compulsions will prevent nothing, just prolong the healing. OCD is in your mind, it’s a thought, it’s not real. And it never will be. I only meant to sent positive messages and inspiration to others. Forgive me, I’ve been triggered by many post on this website, but I choose to keep coming back because it makes my OCD go crazy, which is great practice to endure through. The though moments, fighting the compulsion, that’s where YOU shine! OCD LIVES WITH YOU, YOU DONT LIVE WITH OCD. F: False E: Experiences A: Appearing R: Real Even if something scary happened in the past, it doesn’t mean you have to obsessively fear it in the present! Again, sorry, I hope you stay strong in your fight!
