iβm so glad youβre feeling better! is there certain things that helped you get out of that mental storm ?

Thank you! I had to wait it out ππ.. And wait for it to pass.. Some things that helped me were trying to not spend time doing compulsions that further my distress. So my brain is really craving to figure something out more. But I had to try (very difficult) to tear myself away and do something else like painting, go for a walk, sit downstairs with family. I felt awful the whole time doing these things but at least I wasn't creating MORE distress, if that makes sense lol. It feels like it will never end when I'm in these mental storms as I call them. They are like a tsunami lol.. I can barely cope. But they do pass. I'm not recovered or anything in terms of OCD but I definitely do have much deeper pits of despair throughout the month.

@e Aww I'm so sorry! I totally understand. Just know this isn't your fault. And we can't think ourself out of the bad feelings. We can just try to help ourself! And after the storm, is where we look at it to help figure out what's going on, in a therapy session Are you in therapy? π Also, if you by chance are in the UK I have some helpful resources that might be of use π

@e Ah okay I'm in Ireland too! I'm sorry about the situation.. I will copy this wee thing. Maybe you can join a support group through ocd action--it will be in my resources. And we might even end up in the same support group π.
