I find that the evening is the worst too my ocd gets super annoying around 7 ish pm. I think it is because all my tasks are done for the day and there is nothing else to occupy my thoughts. Then anxiety grows until I fall asleep which is very difficult to do. I have contamination ocd.

I agree. It’s such a weird thing because I can go all day feeling okay but then it usually hits me no matter what. Sometimes however I feel like it’s because I know I get anxious around that time because I put that thought in my head and it’s like my brain follows a schedule.

I feel the same way I swear routines are bad for ocd because if I am spontaneous and do something out of the ordinary in that time window then I am fine but if I do my regular routine it's like falling into the same trap over and over again.

Totally agreed. At the beginning of the year when my schedule was so busy and all over the place, I would never experience these feelings. But now being stuck with not much to do or think of makes it so much harder.

Absolutely. Some thing I’ve really used as a help tool is fishing once the spring comes around. If you saw me I look like the opposite of a fisherman, however it’s a great tool for being able to keep calm and enjoy something small.
