I had a breathing obsession the first time I had a bad bout of ocd, it was replaced over time but maybe try putting an audio loop on of whatever your feared outcome is, such as never being able to stop being hyper aware, messing up your body etc

I’ll have to look into that, thanks. And I hope it goes good for you, I don’t know if you’ve been in therapy but if not it’s always good to get help by the professional’s! I’ve came a long way since starting

I’m glad to hear that! Trust me I know where you are at right now my breathing sent me into multiple panic attacks before I got over it, and I strongly recommend looking for a qualified cbt specialist who does erp. I’m no medical expert but from my experience and what I’ve studied it’s the gold standard on recovering, if you ever need tips or advice please let me know I’m happy to help!

My pleasure Anna, I’m Russ. Mine is expensive as well, but in the long run it’s better to make sure your mentally healthy and have good coping mechanisms. Try to resist your compulsions as much as possible until you can get into ERP!

It’s okay to relapse!! You will do it many times during recovery hell I do it as well, the more you expose yourself the easier it will become soon enough you’ll forgot you even had a silly obsession ?

Yea it sucks! But I’m not giving up, lol yea these obsessions are silly, right now im trying to see people face to face when talking to someone , cuz im so aware of my eyes, and also I’m afraid to look around me like anything I see any object it feels like somehow my eyes are not blimking

That’s good!!! I can tell your taking the right steps towards recovery, it might be the toughest thing you’ve ever done and your anxiety will certainly raise and you will doubt yourself, but remember that it’s part of the recovery process and when you feel these things it’s the ocd losing it control on your life!!
