Hi! I did TMS but for depression. I didn't really see any side effects or improvement. I'm thinking about doing it for OCD. Did it benefit you?

I'm still trying to find out. When I was going through it I seem tolerated very well and in general it is tolerated very well but over the past week to 10 days I've noticed changes in my body particularly to the way my gut feels and how nauseous I've been. That's not to say this will happen to you because it is generally well tolerated.maybe my dosage was just wrong.

@Peaceofmind604 Did your OCD improve on TMS? If yes, how significant was the improvement?

I think I'm going to give it another week or so to see if my body sort of adjusts

And then I have an appointment with my doctor next week anyways so I will see what he says

I did dTMS for severe depression. It worked wonders for me, however the depression was replaced with more anxiety/OCD. Personally I don’t think you would be nauseous at this point but everyone is different. Did you contact your doctor about this? My doc didn’t have the coil yet to treat OCD yet since it is relatively newly approved by the FDA. I tried some anxiety dTMS for a week or two but had no results. I am thinking of doing it for OCD when there is more data about the results.

I did TMS using the brainsway machine for OCD not depression. I completely agree I shouldn't still be feeling nauseous which is why I'm puzzled and asking here. I can't workout very much or anything without feeling nauseated. Even after I eat everytime I'm a little nauseous

@Peaceofmind604 I did brainsway as well. It’s possible to see results long after the treatment ends because of how it works on your brain so maybe you can still feel nauseous. Mine subsided after the first week of treatment.

I would call your doc. Maybe OCD treatment has different side effects.

@Anonymous And yes it was a different part of the brain. My doc said they were stimulating dorsomedial prefrontal cortex & anterior cingulate cortex.

Do you have a primary care doc that can prescribe you an antiemetic for the meantime? I take Zofran and it helps me with nausea.

@Peaceofmind604 I’m not on social media at the moment unfortunately. Support groups are always a good idea.
