Happens to me too! Just try to focus on the physical enjoyment to help get out of your head. Let the thoughts pass, even if they’re distressing. I’ve had some of the best sex of my life while battling with OCD once I let the thoughts pass and just enjoy the sex.

I obviously still enjoyed it but now I feel guilty and disgusting. I feel horrible kissing her without her knowing these horrible thought were in my head while we were having sex.

Lots and lots of ERP. I would write scripts of my worst fears being true and read them multiple times a day without doing compulsions. Every time the thought popped up I would tell the thought “I see you, I acknowledge you, I understand why you’re here. You are trying to keep me safe and I appreciate it but I’m not going to put anymore energy into you.”

Nice work!!!!! I find that with this particular (scary) theme. My compulsions have become automatic.

I totally understand. I didn’t even realize I was doing compulsions until I was deep down the rabbit hole. I strongly recommend Ali Greymond on YouTube. She taught me how to disregard thoughts. I’m going to start watching her videos again to get over this new theme

Yes! I've seen her work. The best book (I have a lot) is freedom from obsessive compulsive disorder by Dr Grayson Someone else I admire is Robert Bray ocdrecovery uk on insta. Thanks for listening. I how we can check in with each other sometimes. It's such an isolating disorder.

Thank you for the recommendations, I’m going to check them out! And yeah this app is great. We all benefit from having this community that actually understands what we got through on a daily basis. This is definitely isolating but it’s nice to know that there is always someone here to talk to. Thank you for responding to my post, you have no idea how much I appreciate it

Trust me, I do know how you feel. Honestly, Dr. Grayson is "the authority"on ocd. In his book he has exposures to practice. The absurd thing about this disorder is that we know our thoughts are irrational! We have a brain that misfires. Dr Grayson goes into it. Be well my friend.
