While I wouldn’t discourage you from paying attention to the advice of professionals, I’d just say it would still be useful to at least meet with the NOCD team. That way you’ve checked all your boxes. And even if it isn’t OCD, at least now you’ll know what you’re dealing with.

@Justridethewave Yes, they go with OCD, but OCD has some DISTINCT features. I think you really should see an OCD specialist.

I agree with everyone saying to get an OCD specialist. NOCD has been really good for me. My subtypes don’t look perfectly textbook OCD but ERP has been incredibly helpful

I've also been told by one lady that I don't have OCD and I am just anxious. She listened to me for 15 min and told me 'You're not ill because you understand everything what's happening to you'. Lol. Nevermind I didn't understand anything until I freaking Googled so I could help myself.

@Daria Alexandrovna I think asking the questions is best so you can’t make up symptoms or whatever. Like they ask the questions so you have no idea what they are coming up with

@Daria Alexandrovna My 2nd therapist was very much Iike That. I was clearly describing every point of OCD and she was like so yeah I think you’re questioning?

@Justmesadly Yes. I think maybe this therapist has only seen like clinically ill people who were 100% insane or something. Maybe they don't know much about OCD. Especially with ROCD, you know. Because ROCD doesn't sound as 'crazy'.
