So you got really triggered by an exposure, is that right?

Yeah, it was something that I wasn’t expecting. But I just wanted to cry right then and there and it really freaked me out

@Jbgys543 It's ok, I developed a new form of OCD (not theme, just its form) because of an exposure that I did on purpose, and that exposure really did triggered me, so much that like you, I ended up getting worse about my recovery, but that's still OCD, so, don't fall for it! Also, I know that anxiety can make you have a groinal response, did you know that?

@Ambra I’ve had lots of exposures that make everything worse. But I’m scared that the groinal wasn’t caused by anxiety and was just natural

@Jbgys543 But you know that's not natural whenever the cause of that makes you feel really anxious or uncomfortable, why would I get a groinal response for something that makes me feel so bad and sad? I simply wouldn't, it does come the same then that's because of anxiety. With that kind of logic I would start recovery work in a serious way where I truly start to work 🌸

@Ambra That's a great way of looking at that. But then I have aspects of ROCD (without having a relationship), so my mind dissects women, and seeing relationships give me anxiety. Sometimes i wonder if I can manage this at all.

@Ambra It tries to find flaws, anything to turn me off. Also, given all my obsessing, I cant feel anything for females sometimes. Its terrible.

@Jbm421 I can imagine, but it still OCD, and OCD is not only a problem about thoughts, it is also a feeling and sensation problem. But it's all a big lie, why I'm so sure about that? Because notice yourself, notice how you feel, to me you don't seem happy or comfortable with that kind of though, because that's not what you want, easy; so, If that's what I don't want to, then, why should I give any importance to that kind of thought? It is nonsense. Also, we tend to forget that OCD is a mental issue and not something which is fine and happy to live with, we have to defeat it simply because it doesn't make feel us happy or fine

Breathe bro. I know how scary and fucked up the groinals can get. I can only thank God I'm not experiencing them now but I know the hell they bring. Try to sit with the anxiety if you can. I know accidental exposures can hit hard and feel like the end of the world. That's when we have to be our strongest. Best of luck to you bro. God bless you.

Thank you! :) groinals are the definition of hell especially because every time I think of an exposure (like the one I posted about) I get one and omg It makes me hate my groin lol

@Jbgys543 I went through something like that in December. It was dreadful. Just sit with it and let it pass. Try and remember that things aren't always as bad as they seem with this disorder.
