I’m not op but for those asking, I use headspace, usually do ten minutes everyday or every other day. I also have a life coach who has her own meditation that I sometimes use. You could probably look free meditations up on YouTube or something, but before you do that, I would try headspace free trial first so you at least know what a legit meditation looks like.

Yesss! I literally do the exact same thing minus having a life coach. I second this advice!

@ev1 They will show up, but that’s okay. The goal is not for them to go away the point is to not give them any of your attention.

I’ve been meditating for about 8 months and it’s single handedly been the thing that helps me most. We make decisions by pursing the things that make us happy and that we want to do despite the anxiety that we may feel. We realize we can experience anxiety and discomfort and still be happy. We are what we choose to be, we are what we love and what brings us happiness.

How many minutes per day? Do you use an app? Which one? What type of meditation? Thanks.

@Troubledkittypoo I meditate 10 minutes a day and use headspace. It took me about a month before I really saw a big change. I think the trick with meditation is to be very open. Your thoughts are going to be very loud but you really have to focus on the exercise even though everything in you is going to try and tell you that your ocd thoughts are more important and try to distract you. You have to be open though to tell yourself that despite that meditating and retraining your mind is really the most important thing and give it all the attention you have and try and let go of thoughts rather then jumping down the rabbit hole

So then who are we? How can we make decisions?
