I am no expert, but I suffer from ocd myself. And I believe that it is very important (at least it was for me) to do exactly what you are doing. We are dealing with a disfunction of the brain that doesn’t not respond to logic. The main goal of ocd is to make sure that you doubt having ocd. I strongly suggest that you stop believing that the intrusive thoughts that you experience say something about you. In ocd, the thoughts, the theme, means nothing. It means nothing. Try to understand that your mental alarm system (which is malfunctioning btw) uses words, thoughts, images, and every idea to get to you. It needs you to respond in the way that you do in order to survive. Trust that you have ocd, if ocd you have. Stop doubting. It’s the name of the game. Good luck.

Again I am not in a position to tell you wether or not this is ocd, but while you look for proper help, go listen to ocd stories podcasts. It helps a ton

I want to add that you need to work with a rigid program in order to perform erp correctly. Reach out to an expert !

Yes, I thought so. I've been trying to educate myself about erp and do it on my own, but it didn't really work and I didn't know how to do it. I can't find a specialist anywhere, my therapist literally said that it can't be ocd if it centers around past events, because ocd only addresses the future. So she wasn't exactly a specialist. I'd love to do the NOCD program, but it s not available in Europe..
