I have not started yet. I took it a yr agi for 2 yrs it helped but got off of it because I notice under stress I would have alot of instructive thoughts

@Nobody Did it ever work or always caused intrusive thoughts under stress?

I'm interested in wellburtin also. My friend switched from zoloft to wellbutrin and they had to adjust her dose for a little bit of time. And now she loves it because its also helping her loose weight... where zoloft made her gain. Zoloft so far, hasn't affect my weight

Idk, I was afraid to ask. She was already a big girl. Not sure how much she has lost yet on Wellbutrin, since she just started, i think in Feb. 2021 I see her the end of the month. I'll get more info.

Thank you I understand completely. Im not a big girl but I'm very insecure about everything so I definitely don't want to gain weight.

@Kls2121 Me either. I'm not a big girl either, But I've not gained weight on Zoloft, but I would like to try Wellbutrin because I've heard so many good things about it. I have been told that sometimes the Dr will supplement wellbutrin with Zoloft. So that could be a thought, idk. I talk to my Dr on thr 20th and I'll see what she thinks too.

@jemcu812 Has zoloft worked for you? Any side effects?
- Date posted

@Kls2121 Only at the beginning. Had dry mouth and the shakes until it got in my system

@jemcu812 I wouldn't mind any of the physical symptoms. Glad you didn't get any of the mental side effects.

@jemcu812 Would you say the zoloft was worth it?

@Kls2121 Mainly dry mouth, and the jitters until my body got used to it.

@jemcu812 Thats not to bad. At least you didn't have the mental side effects.

@Nobody At least you know it worked for you at one point. You kind of know what to expect. Your not alone. Ive always just dealt with it but at this point in my life i need something more.

I’ve tried Wellbutrin. It’s alright like it helped me a little at first but honestly after awhile it didn’t help me like at all so I don’t know that’s just my personal experience though everyone is different

Are you taking anything else now?

Yes I’m currently taking Prozac 80 mg, when I first started it, I had to get used to it and it didn’t help too much until I reached the 80 mg which is one of the highest for Prozac. I love it now, there still some ocd left but that’s something I’m working with therapy now.

Ohh wow that's great! Did you have any side effects?

Yes unfortunately for me, I have tiredness throughout the day and I noticed I did gain a little more weight
- Date posted

Thats not to bad. As long as its worth it.

I'm currently taking 300 mg Wellbutrin & 75 mg Zoloft (in the process of tapering off the Zoloft), so I don't have any experience with Wellbutrin alone.

Just curious, why are you getting off zoloft? Did it just not work.

@Kls2121 I've been on it since 2014, and it's definitely helped ease my anxiety and stress. At the same time, I've noticed that my emotions have been dampened, and I miss being able to really feel excited about things. I'm also studying to become a therapist, so I believe that it's important for me to be able to connect with my feelings.

@applejaks That is exactly one of the things that I'm afraid of happening. I have kids and I do not want to loose my emotions. I dont want to feel numb.
- Date posted

@Kls2121 I don't know how common it is because it seems to be a lesser discussed side effect. It's one of those things that you really don't know how it will affect you until you try it. I can see how you might be apprehensive though, since being able to emotionally connect with your kids is important to you.

@applejaks Anyone I know who have tried zoloft has said the same thing. It numbs their emotions. Everyone is different though. Thats one reason I love this app. Everyone can talk about how it makes them feel. I really hope it works for you. Living like this sucks.
