There was a time where I had these thoughts too, I didn’t truly want to hurt anyone but my brain was telling me I did, I had my partner hide the knives but realized I didn’t wanna hurt anyone after some time

You could’ve but guess what, you didn’t and that’s what throws off your ocd- when you say that “you could’ve” you’re acknowledging the thought but not accepting it nor denying it, just simply knowing that the thought occurred and it was just that... a thought. You’re always in control!

Yeah you’re right, it’s the disturbing feeling of “I could’ve” or “I felt like I was going to” “could I really have done something?” does it mean I’ll snap in the future? etc... but i think it’s all a trick of our own minds. Thank you :)

I don’t want to reassure you so I’m just going to say: do you really think most sociopaths have this mush remorse or feel this much responsibility ?

it’s true, but the question what if I’m in denial? comes . It’s just so disturbing to feel like I could’ve really done it ... thank you for the reassurance , I know it’s bad but it helped me briefly lol

@Random I don’t think it’s reassurance. I think it’s hard truth. Good luck.

^exactly what she said. Sociopaths/ serial killers do not even go down those down spirals

You’re right, but it’s just crazy how I’m convinced I’m something like that

No, I totally feel it, it’s so difficult. We just need to not engage with thought because I know it’s just going to take j my into a loop. Just so hard to not think about the thoughts we don’t want to think about.

Exactly it is just so difficult.. feeling like you could’ve done something, not knowing if you will, etc. It is very hard but we’re not alone

I totally get what your saying. I’ve been where you are. It puts me in the same loop with the same feelings. It will feel as real as it can

It sucks right.. I’m sorry, I feel you. It brings so many feelings, thoughts, and the need to figure them all out. It all feels so real and it’s all so debilitating

This is exactly what I’m going through . I have this fear of knives . Every time I’m doing my dishes and I see them I have the same thought of me loosing control and stabbing myself . Then I go in panick mode because I don’t want to do that . I’m so scared of my thoughts . Is always the same . And I try so hard to stop I end up having a panick attack

I’m so sorry, I feel you. I feel so uncomfortable and scared around knives... you’re not alone

Omgggg I understand . It’s so uncomfortable and feels so real, i can figure everything out in life but this. You are not alone.

Yes! It feels so real! It’s crazy how I feel like I could really do something even when I don’t want to... like there’s always this possibility, it’s so difficult to live with. But thank you, you’re not alone either, we got this.

Thank you! Having a spiral now ...makes me think I have to do something bad, I hate ocd so much! I get so much anxiety around it. Thank you for sharing.

Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not. But yeah I relate to that, thinking I have to do something bad, it’s horrible
