If it makes you feel any better I'm 36 and have never been on a date. I also work with kids for a living and some of them have a kids of their own now đ.
Just gotta do what youâre comfortable with :) society makes us think we have to do thing by certain ages but itâs not true at all, you do you!!
@MelodyMoo I agree!
Iâm 21 and still havenât had a boyfriend either!! Honestly itâs so normal, itâs just tv shows and movies make us believe that all teenagers are dating but thatâs not actually the case at all! Itâs completely fine to not want to date or anything until your 20âs (or anytime!) as weâre only just starting to be mature haha :)
Thank you! i guess i just feel like if she dates at 16 and I haven't that I am unlikeable and will never date. Ugh
@Anyonomous I get you I feel the same way! I have a cousin whoâs had a boyfriend since she was 12 haha! And me and her sister are in our 20s and never had a boyfriend (we both have anxiety disorders lol), itâs honestly so normal to not date in your teens, I dunno about you but I was too preoccupied with exams, friendships and ocd to worry about all that đ
@MelodyMoo Same. Ocd took up most of my time and i went to a small school. Now I am afraid I am just not very likeable
@Anyonomous I can almost bet thatâs not the case! Life happens and sometimes relationships arenât a priority and thatâs okay! When it happens it happens, donât put pressure on yourself to be with someone, be amazing in your own and then anyone that comes into your life is a bonus :)
@MelodyMoo On*
@MelodyMoo Thank you đ
Not to say this in a rude way at all, but who cares? I'm 19 years old and I've never had a in person relationship. Not even a kiss on the cheek. Nothing. Everyone's time is different. To be honest, the way I see it, if it happens to me, it happens and I just go along with the flow. I don't make finding love my first priority since I'm still very young and I have to focus on myself before focusing on others. Blame the media for giving you these kind of feelings and pressure for making you think you HAVE to be in a relationship before hitting 30 or some shit. That's dumb. Love is forever and there's no expiration date.
Yeah thats true. I don't think you sounded rude!!
@Anyonomous I'm glad my post along with the many others have helped you in one way or another. Congratulate your little sister instead! You don't want to fall desperate for these kind of things. Patience is key. Focus on yourself and you'll have someone in your life before you know it. I know that can be kind of annoying to hear time and time again, and it used to piss me off completely back in my high school days, but life is too short to focus on something on the side like that.
