I’m a Christian but I really don’t believe that means Good will heal me of any of my mental illnesses. Is he capable? Absolutely. But as Christians our main purpose of being on this earth is to glorify him. I think he wants to give us joy in that, and I believe he does when we fully seek him, but that doesn’t mean he will take away all of our hardships. His ways aren’t our ways. He may allow us to suffer, but he is still good and faithful

Correct ! If God took away this stuff no one would have mental health issues or cancer etc

True! I agree but I’m saying He can. He may allow us to go through stuff so we can learn how to process hard stuff but He also can take it away. Have you asked Holy Spirit or God where these things are coming from or where these lies and seeds started that got planted in your heart?

@Anonymous I believe he can to! I’m just saying that he doesn’t always take away our hard things, and that’s okay :). But also, these lies are coming from trauma and mental illness and a malfunctioning brain, and I know he can heal that, i just personally don’t think it means he will cuz he tends to have different plans from me lol

@Anonymous I would love to pray for you. I’m going through both routes! I am connecting with Jesus and getting Christian counseling (trying) and then getting Cecular therapy as well! Also the enemy wants to keep you hear as long as he can as well. So just know that you’re on the winning side and it’ll all be okay❤️

As a Christian I’ve seen God heal people of many things. He brought me out of a really dark season of my life. I do believe he can take it away but not by our striving but in his timing. He loves you and is so sad that you’re hurting right now so ofcourse he wants to heal you but there is a reason why you’re in it right now. Just remember God is never late even if you feel like he is.

No he can’t. You have to do the ERP, do the therapy, sit with the uncertainty. If God could take away your OCD then none of us would be struggling with this.

@Justmesadly I value your guys’ opinions and I respect them! But I do not think it is fair to say no God does not heal these things Bc he has wirh other people. I have seen it with my own eyes. He healed a girl with schizophrenia that I knew when Drs said she’d have to be on meds forever. He’s able to. But He also can use therapists to help people heal too! But I wouldn’t discredit that he can heal in an instant. why isn’t he doing it for us right now, I don’t know but I also dont need to know because He has a plan❤️ keep your hopes up in Jesus.

@Anonymous It’s extremely toxic for you to say this kind of thing. This is exactly why people leave the church and leave religion. So if God can heal people why does he pick very select few? Am I not good enough? Is my prayer not loud enough or did I not say it at the right time? Did my best friends brother who has tried to end his life twice bc of schizophrenia not do enough good things? You see how hurtful that is?! That’s not the case! Every person on this app is great and most will get better by doing their ERP and going to theraptb

@Justmesadly I am so sorry and did not mean to be toxic. I am also so sorry for your friends brother. But I cannot deny the things I have seen and witnessed. We all have a choice and you can choose to believe you’re not good enough. And decide to pull always from God Bc of it. But I am saying that he can heal. I know he can. I am in this too, I have severe OCD, don’t forget that hun. But I am still choosing to believe that he can heal me. And if he doesn’t, I’ll know when I’m in heaven and there was a reason.
