Unrelated to OCD rant, but I need to get this off my chest (FYI, it’s not even that serious) So, me and two of my friends are planning on going to see Billie Eillish next year, as she’s going on a world tour. I’m only 17, and I work. My friend can’t afford her ticket at the moment, so I said that I’ll pay for her until she’s able to pay me back. I get paid tomorrow from work, and the tickets we’re planning on buying are gonna cost me £200, because an individual ticket is £100 &, as I said, I’m buying for my friend. But, I’m not even sure if my money will go into my account tomorrow, as my manager told me today that it will either be tomorrow, or Saturday, and that it’s about a 50/50 chance. The tickets go on sale at 10AM tomorrow, and I’m pretty sure all the good seats will sell out very, very fast - and if I don’t have the money tomorrow, it’s likely I won’t be able to buy on Saturday. For some reason, this is giving me so much anxiety, like I literally can’t relax because I’ve gotten myself so excited about getting the tickets, and the possibility that I just won’t be able to get them is almost devastating and I’m just completely uncertain, and I have OCD so I clearly have an issue with handling uncertainty... I literally can’t focus on my work because I’m worrying so much.

yeah ^^. or maybe somebody could lend you the money and you pay them back once your manager pays you?

@garden Thanks guys, lol. I said to my manager that it was important, but it was out of her control. And I was gonna ask my grandad if he would lend it me, but he’s not at home so... I’m just gonna have to wait and see, I’m feeling better now. I hadn’t eaten anything all day, so I was probably already anxious because of that Kinda embarrassed that I wrote all of that down, but when I get anxious it’s usually to do with OCD, and my knee jerk reaction is to come here... so I guess this was the same aha, Thank you for the help!!

@garden Thank you so much! I’ll give you an update just in case you would like to know... The money didn’t go in :( But, I may be able to lend some but I’m not sure - either way I’m okay. I cried a little, lmaooo...

@E🤍 did you manage to get them?!! basically my mum just randomly bought me two tickets but i’m not even a massive fan so would be okay with selling them to you! i’m really shocked that she bought them especially since talking to you about this all yesterday. i think she got them because i have exams soon but it’s still super weird that she bought them.

@garden Oh wow what a coincedence!! I got them though!! It was so frustrating because my friend was struggling trying to transfer the money, and I had the BEST seats and then the timer went and we had to get kinda bad ones, but either way I’m pleased. @garden Oh I see! Yeah, we’re in manchester! And ours are similar too. The only reason I’m bothered about seats is coz my vision is terrible long distance, lmao, but it should be all good! And even if you don’t like billie eillish her shows are like visually beautiful apparently so I’d give it a try. Thank you so much for the offer anyway!
