I only suffer from hyper focus and not focus at all. My brain knows I like to listen to it. The difference was that reaction.
I feel that too, as I mentioned before I’ve suspected I have ADHD too, but have never been tested for it. I have overall poor attention skills and can never stay focused on one person or thing for long at all and zone out quickly when someone is talking to me.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in 3rd grade and just didn’t know. I don’t find out until I was in freshman year and I had a eating disorder. But I sound like you have a little bit of it.
I’m sorry to hear that, I know ADHD can make school life more challenging from a focusing-perspective (I underachieved in school myself, I had trouble concentrating often). And it’s possible, I’ve been wanting to get a brain mapping done for quite some time so I can get a more in-depth view of everything going on in my head. But it’s not been easy for me to get a referral for that.
Living with adhd is stressful but I always felt comfortable with myself.
Except now
When it comes to prioritization in life (listening to people, work, trying to remain still) it can be challenging I’m sure, although I can’t speak on it too much since I haven’t been diagnosed with it.
Yes
Are you aware of rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD)? I ask because I’ve been suspecting I’ve had adhd (on top of ocd, hurray), but I stumbled across RSD today and is interesting to me because I can relate heavily to the symptoms and signs of RSD in my daily life.
