Please mention porn next time. I wanted to see what you were even talking about, so I googled it and ended up seeing pornographic cartoons.. I am sorry you are struggling.

Hentai is basically japanese animated themed porn. They're all horrible.

Porn overall is something that I feel like has messed up my life. I don't watch it anymore and I don't ever plan on going back but specifically I've had a way worse time with the ones that weren't real. I just hate thinking about the videos that I've seen ever since I were a little kid, thinking it was all okay. It's almost as if the industry manipulated my undeveloped mind. I hate it.

I’ve seen a lot of ppl say yes. How do you all handle this?

One simple way of doing this is to just not watch it to be honest. It's hard not to think about what you've seen especially if you've seen too much of it. Please believe me when I say you're better off not watching any of that stuff at all. Porn really fucks people up and it can change a lot of things about even the goodliest people.

I basically say maybe it means something gross about me or maybe it doesn’t. And I don’t try to figure it out/ruminate or analyze the memory/thoughts . I’m not sure what theme you have I’m assuming it’s sexual.

@Isabella Regardless of the theme it's all OCD at the end of the day. For all themes you're better off just.. not engaging with it at all

@BigGip09 Ye, not engaging and staying active too helps a ton. I noticed having a daily routine of work, exercise, social life, & hobbies makes my ocd so much more manageable to the point where it can feel non-existent (so does staying offline for me personally bc I engage in a lot of compulsions online)

@Isabella These are great tips guys ty! My counselor also said exercise is extremely beneficial in the longrun so I’ll try to do this more often!

@Isabella Most definitely. I haven't been on this app in like weeks until like last night to see what everything was like now. Aside from that, I've been doing a lot better than I have before pretty much overall. I don't engage in much compulsions, I've got a routine I'm trying to make that involves way less compulsions, social media, and self discipline. I've been doing so much better with it too be honest. It's been more than 100 days since I've even seen porn and I don't have any intents on going back to it or anything sexual at this point. Exercise has had another huge impact as well. There's some days where I forget that I struggle with this disorder but it comes in minimal waves.

Hi everyone, I'm struggling with what I think are intrusive thoughts, possibly related to OCD, and I'm hoping someone here might relate. When I was younger, in my early teens, I went through a period where I had a strong interest in pornography. During that time, I encountered hentai involving male characters, related to an anime I enjoyed. One of the characters was someone I even looked up to. I feel incredibly uncomfortable admitting this, but I believe I engaged in sexual activity related to it. Years later, I'm plagued by intrusive thoughts about this. I feel intense self-disgust and shame. It's like this memory has "tainted" my ability to enjoy that anime, and sometimes other things. I'm constantly replaying the situation in my mind, questioning my past actions, and worrying about what it means about me. The anxiety is significantly impacting my life. Does anyone else experience intrusive thoughts focused on past events, particularly those that cause feelings of shame or disgust? How do you cope with the constant replaying and questioning? I'm looking for support and understanding. Thank you for listening.

tw: slightly nsfw I don't mean something like "I made a sexual joke and a child was nearby " or "I was 19 and thought a 17 y.o. was attractive" Like something actually bad not the "I'm freaking over this because I have OCD" type of situation, but more like "I did something horrible and I happen to have OCD which makes it even worse" type of situation I did some really fucked up sexual stuff at 14-16 and they haunt me.
