this is exactly what iâm in therapy for except mine was specifically about schizophrenia. ERP is helping A LOT! itâs honestly amazing how fast itâs helping too. i started small & now iâm reading articles about psychosis/schizophrenia with no problem. give it time & donât give into compulsions! you got this! iâm so sorry too because i know exactly how you feel & itâs the scariest theme i ever had. but just know itâs a common one & stay away from google!

I used to fear schizophrenia so so badly but then it went away and now im scared im psychosis, for example im scared of believing delusions and like now i have delusional thoughts for any random thing and i dont believe them one bit, its ocd that keeps bringing it up because i know its a symptom of psychosis, also im so scared of hallucinations and stuff like that

@nayelyđ¤ i get the same thing dude. like iâm afraid of becoming delusional so i have intrusive thoughts of myself being super paranoid/delusional. & same with the vision thing. mines way worse when i donât wear my contacts. just make sure you stop checking. if you think you saw something out of the corner of your eye etc, STOP CHECKING!!!

@nayelyđ¤ i get the black dot thing all the time, itâs common for people with astigmatism & other eye issues but also everyone gets that when they look into light or other random stuff! & thank you for warning me!! yeah i think maybe i could get triggered just because iâve been doing a lot of exposures lately & i donât wanna latch onto anything else. thank you!!!

do you want to hit me up on ig? mine is @jasagram, feel free to dm me! otherwise, have you done erp yet? i truly donât think weâre able to hold onto an ocd theme if we do exposures. every time iâve had a new one iâve always thought âthereâs no way iâm getting over this oneâ but i always do & so will you! a big part about the fear of delusion is also to remember that ocd is delusional too. the only reason psychosis scares you is because thereâs so much stigma about it where ocd is often praised in mainstream media

Recently ive had ocd thoughts that are really weird and make no sense (they sound like thoughts that someone would have if they were in physcosis eg. What if trump can communicate with you through your head) like what??? Sometimes it feels like i believe it??? Which stresses me out and im constantly worried that im going through physcosis since i sort of belive it? I know deep down its ridiculous but it almost feels like i believe it?? Im scared. Like sometimes im calm with the thought. Im like oh okay maybe. Then sometimes my brain tries to imagine him like talking to me through my head??? Am i going through physcosis.??

does anyone else have an intense fear of developing schizophrenia or psychosis. This has been a really heavy theme for me as well. Iâm constantly checking to see if I have symptoms or if Iâm gonna go crazy or develop these. itâs so scary.

Iâve never been diagnosed with OCD, but I relate so much to what people here are going through. I used to think it was just anxiety, and I felt like I could handle that. But lately Iâve been spiralingâconstantly afraid that what Iâm feeling is something worse, like psychosis or losing control of my mind. I feel so detached and scared, and I just want peace again. I have anxiety doing the smallest things, like the thought of waking up everyday and even eating give me straight up panic. I am afraid all the time, itâs paralyzing. And a lot of people say someone with psychosis wouldnât worry that theyâre in it, but then I convince myself Iâve been in it this whole time, and havenât known, and that maybe Iâve been doing weird stuff. Idk. I also get really scared of labels. Even the idea of OCD makes me feel like Iâll never get better or like Iâll be stuck like this forever. I just want to be okay. If anyone has felt this wayâconfused, overwhelmed, or scared of whatâs happening in their mindâIâd really appreciate any support or encouragement.
