There’s not really a difference from recovering with a therapists. Don’t seek reassurance, try to understand and recognize when you’re seeking reassurance and don’t do it, don’t post on the app, limit your time on here or don’t get on at all eventually. Stop doing compulsions if you do a lot of physical compulsions you can stop doing them slowly by making yourself wait 5 mins and increasing increments, don’t Google, don’t allow yourself to confess. Progress is slow for most so give yourself grace. You can do erp on your own, the app gives examples for lots of things and you should see the pattern if your specific theme isn’t on the apps

So after my ocd has become more prominent, it gets harder to fight through these compulsion’s everyday. I don’t go to therapy or take any medications and to be honest I am very lost in my journey on how to navigate life with ocd. I don’t want it to take over my life. I want to be able to feel like I can live without a weight on my chest and to finally feel like I can breathe. Any suggestions or words of advice is more than welcome.
