I first started on Zoloft as well. It made me really sleepy- it worked though. I have done pretty good on Prozac it still makes me sleepy but not as bad as it was on Zoloft. After I got married I didn’t notice that Zoloft brought more ED problems than Prozac. All in all, Prozac has been good for me. Will you be taking hydroxyzine as needed?

Good to know. I've been a zombie on Zoloft though I have noticed a decrease in intrusive thoughts and obsessions. So I hope Prozac works well. Yes, I will be taking hydroxyzine as needed, and will probably take it at night because I've been really struggling with sleep since starting SSRIs.

@BigAl15 I have heard people having success with more acute anxiety episodes with hydroxyzine, but I think it definitely makes you drowsy

I've been using Hydroxyzine since January and it's wonderful! There are no dependency issues, it doesn't affect your rem sleep so you're not groggy the next day, and it's the only antihistamine that works on serotonin. Actually, I just stopped using it last week (after gradually weaning off) because I wanted to start testing my ERP and no problems. Been taking Prozac since March and it does make me a little groggy as well as a little antsy at times. Small price as it works very well on the intrusive thoughts. It sounds like you're getting good care!

I'm so glad your experiences have been positive! I started my Prozac this morning 🤞🏻 and I took one hydroxyzine last night and slept like a baby for the first time in months! I did have odd dreams but I've been having them since starting Zoloft so I think it's the med still in my system. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, this gives me hope!

Hi everyone, I’m 23 and have been on Zoloft since I was 16. For the past couple months I’ve been having panic attacks more and I’m sick of feeling like a zombie everyday. My boyfriend said I’m very sad and unhappy then when I first met him 2 years ago…. He thinks it’s the medicine. Throughout the years I have upped and lowered my medication, but now, I feel as though it’s not helping. Either it was too much where I didn’t feel emotions at all like very scary stuff or it wasn’t enough to help me. I was given 5mg of Lexapro to try…. I’m scared to take it. All I know is how Zoloft is. I don’t want to go crazy on it, be allergic to it, etc. I feel like I’m going to trip myself out when I take it and not actually feel the difference. I could really use some positive feedback I really just want to be a normal human😭

I am having a really hard time with ocd and anxious thoughts and feeling extremely uneasy. I'm home alone today so it's really easy for me to get stuck in my thoughts. I'm on day 4 of prozac. I felt like yesterday I had a period of time of about 30 minutes where I felt really focused and like the anxiety lifted completely. But then an obsession started and it brought me right back down. Hopefully I feel relief again today. I'm going to go get some house work done to take my mind off of things. Does anyone have any first hand experiences with prozac? How long until you felt any relief? Any really bad side effects? Any unforseen pluses? Much appreciated.

Does anyone else take zoloft? What is it like? Any side effects?
