Hi Sully!:) today I will be working (I'm a delivery driver), and then taking some time for myself to do something fun. Tomorrow I'm going to a festival with some friends 😊. I hope your weekend is fun!

Volunteering at a local park cleanup event; AND having dinner with my sister and her husband at her house (doing it despite my irrational OCD fears of somehow contaminating them with COVID). No avoidance here, take that OCD 👊

Awe that’s so nice of you to help with the cleanup! Way to go with the exposure work and confronting the fears! 👊

just when I think i’m having a good weekend and I can forget about my struggles my brain tells me i’m not allowed to feel happy and that there’s always SOMETHING i need to be worrying about. so frustrating :(

I'm wondering if this is a common OCD experience: does anyone else find that when you have idle time, your mind just spirals into endless rumination on negative "what ifs" & intrusive thoughts? It's been happening to me for the past three years, which coincides with starting a really high-stress job. Weekends used to be my time to relax, but now I dread weekends...I only feel relief when I'm sleeping because it's the only time my mind seems to quiet down. It's honestly so depressing to lose that enjoyment. Does anyone else relate to this, and if so, what helps you cope?
