Congratulations on that first important step! If you’ve started ERP with a NOCD therapist, you’re doing the very best thing you can for yourself. ERP can be exhausting and overwhelming at times, so take it easy on yourself. Make time to rest and take care of yourself because you may feel more tired than usual. Use this forum to vent or ask for advice, but avoid using it to get reassurance because that’s a compulsion. Welcome, and good luck! It gets better.

Wow thank you. That means a lot to me. I’m ready to face this but definitely appreciate your suggestions about self-care. I’ve been so miserable anyway so that if it had to get worse before it gets better, my eyes are on the getting better part 💙 Thank you so much for the advice! and I will definitely be taking up those suggestions.

Can you get diagnosed on the nocd app?

I don’t know but this diagnosis came through an evaluation with a NOCD therapist. He’s great and I’m looking forward to working with him.
