That’s totally normal! Don’t beat yourself up about it. Your therapist has created a safe space for you, so you feel calm enough to do exposures in session. That’s a good thing! Try your best to create a safe space for yourself to do your exposures. Do them at a set time of day, and start out doing them in a low-stress location. Plan a low-stress activity for afterwards, like talking with a friend or playing a game. It will be difficult at first, but it’ll get easier over time.
