If you are easily influenced by the opinions and emotions of others...yes. I have unfortunately picked up a few from others in the past š¤·āāļø

Yep, Iāve learned that to someone with OCD, the power of suggestion can be a dangerous thing. That said, you shouldnāt avoid other things for fear of that because ironically that is a compulsion lol

If one of your ocd themes is catching others ocd themes then it makes sense youād start having intrusive thoughts about the themes you read. Are you working with an ocd specialist? Learning to mindfully let thoughts pass without attaching to them and engaging in mental compulsions will help prevent them from taking hold.

Have you ever had a thought about sexual taboo topics, when you have a person for whom ocd is attached, that you think "maybe that person wants that, that's the way he looks at me or what do I know" what if that person wanted it, and you feel an urge to do something about it, you say or what do I know?

Iāve had different themes of ocd throughout my life. Can they all differ such as how the thoughts may present? Currently my thoughts feel so true immediately (like they genuinely feel like what I think) but in the last theme I feel like it may have been more of a āwhat if I think thisā type of situation

Does anyone else read other peoples post and think itās for them or about them and their situation and start to think thatās what they are going through themselves ? Or like Iām blaming ocd but itās my brain actually telling thatās how I actually feel?
