That’s what ocd loves to tell us. It wants to push everything we fear at us and tell us it’s real. But the simple fact is that it’s not. By just accepting the thoughts and moving on helps us feel comfortable with them and allows us to feel much better. It’s hard, but we can do it!
We definitely can! Im working so hard on that i think the guilt I feel for the thoughts though is probably proof enough to myself that I hate them.
@uknown True, the fact that you see these thoughts as a threat proves that they aren’t who you are. You’re doing awesome! You’re strong and you will overcome this!
im not diagnosed, what if it really is just me. i had a common compulsion and intrusive thoughts
@kenny0 Im not diagnosed either. I’m trying to tell myself the same thing I’d tell other people. If you are this distressed that you are seeking peer support then I’d say that’s an intrusive thought. You got this we both do sending you love
@uknown thank you
