I don’t understand why I get groinal responses to the intrusive thoughts... it’s like I’m not feeling anxious anymore either 😭😭😭
You don’t have to be anxious to feel something like that. Your ocd will end up trying to mess with you in any way that will start to make you feel uncomfortable, especially if you aren’t feeling uncomfortable in the first place. Just accepting it will do you a world of good. My ocd acts the exact same way and I assure you that it in no way means that it’s real! You’re not alone!
BlueMountain thanks I concour. I've had intrusive thoughts , feelings 7 years later thinking something happened but didn't the OCD screws with your emotions.
You’re welcome! And yeah, I agree. It makes you think you’re someone you’re not, but you feel a lot better after you realize that ocd is just a bully in disguise that you don’t need to listen to.
⚠ TW ⚠ I woke up feeling as if I have identified as another sexuality other than heterosexual and it feels super real. I'm feeling uncomfortable but not anxious? What does that mean?? 😭😖
It doesn’t mean anything. Just because you aren’t anxious does not mean it’s real. Your ocd will try to attack you in any way that’ll make you uncomfortable. It’s like a bully that likes to taunt you in every way it can. I know exactly how you’re feeling but I assure you it’s not real, even if it feels like it is! :)
@BlueMountain Then what about real event ocd? How would you deal with that?
@POCD/RealEventOCD You just have to accept that your ocd isn’t you and even though it’ll make you fixated on certain things, real or not, it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. And if you’re feeling bad about something in the past, all you have to do is learn from it and allow yourself to move on. There’s nothing you have to worry about and moving on from things both in the past and the present will make you a better person and make you feel better.
@BlueMountain It’s also making me feel like I’ve lost attraction all women my age and above or that I never had attractions to my age and above.:.
@POCD/RealEventOCD That’s a very common thing for ocd to do. You’re not alone. You just need to have these thoughts and let them go and in no time you’ll begin to just grow bored of the thoughts. Your ocd is definitely lying to you, but you can pull through.
@BlueMountain Whenever I look at sexy women my age and above or fantasize about women my age and above, I get intrusive thoughts of women with male genitals... I don’t know what to do...
