To anyone dealing with strong urges to confess specific OCD obsessions, thoughts, urges etc. to their loved ones:
When you discuss the details of the OCD with them, you will get some momentary relief but you're also telling your loved ones that the themes, thoughts, past events (whatever they are) matter. That they are meaningful. This is also what the OCD wants you to believe.
The truth is they don't. All that matters is that you have OCD and you're doing your best to cope with it. That's all your lived ones need to know. You don't owe anyone the details. No matter how hard the OCD makes you believe you do.
