@alexisrae1999 You don't know how much I actually specifically needed to hear that Alexis... I've been struggling recently wondering if I'm allowed to continue doing something specific that I like to do... but my OCD keeps telling me to stay away from it. (or at least I think it has been my OCD, it's kind of complicated) even though I'm still not entirely sure about what I'm struggling with, you have still given some great advice that I'm sure will help me a lot as I try to figure this out. Anyways, thank you so much again for everything you do on this app... I dont think you really realize just how uplifting the things you say are to all of us on here... you make a big difference my friend. You brought a smile to my face tonight, so I thank you for that. :) Also I think your nails look awesome! And that's a really cool ring that you're wearing too. :) This is random, but it also looks like Cookie Monster is laying his arm on your steering wheel in this picture, lol.

Yes ocd tries to make you stop doing the things that makes you you because it wants to strip away your individuality and personality basically until there's nothing left 🥲 don't let it do that to ya :(. Thank you! I like doing my nails, its a nice creative outlet hehe. Also I stared for a minute and can't seem to find cookie monster....😂

@alexisrae1999 Lol, I just meant that your steering wheel cover looks like Cookie monsters fur, lol. 😆 idk... I'm weird, lol. Yeah, I do my best to help, I'm glad it doesn't go unnoticed. :) But yeah, my OCD has been changing me... I'm not the same person I was when I was still taking my medication, but I want to be "some" of who that person was again. Recently I threw out a bunch of my music CD's in my collection because I felt like I shouldn't own them for religious reasons, but at the time I didn't consider that it might be my OCD making me feel bad about it. I thought it was something I really needed to do, and I'm still not sure if it I did what I should've done or not. And now I'm struggling to decide if it's okay if I continue watching a specific show, I've been watching the show for years and it's never bothered me before, but now I'm just struggling to know if it's okay or not. I think it's my OCD, but I'm just struggling with it in my mind if it really is or not... I realize it probably sounds like I'm seeking reassurance, I think I just want to vent though is all. I'm sorry, thank you for listening though. I just wish I could meet all of my friends on here and just give them all a hug and tell them it's all going to be okay. And that they could do the same for me. I just want us all to have peace and happiness in our hearts is all. No more turmoil of OCD this, or OCD that, just to have complete peace... but I know God will give us His perfect peace in His perfect timing. :) You seem to have a lot of creative outlets, and you seem so busy and on the go all the time. Going to the gym, going traveling to different places, decorating, spending time with Gypers, doing your nails, doing journal writing, plus so much more I bet, I don't know how you keep up with all of it, lol. Plus I'm sure you still have to work too. But I'm glad that you're happy and living a life that you enjoy. 😀 Thanks for chatting with me though. Always a pleasure talking with you Alexis. Plus the rain is providing a drink for the plants and flowers today. :)

@Drew777 Oh i see 😂 I should get a blue wheel cover then hehe:) I have sunflower seat covers in my car because I work out of my car--wanted a cute space to "live" in since I spend so much time in here:) That definitely sounds like ocd to me. I had an ex who probably was dealing with scrupulosity because the change in his personality was basically overnight. He also felt like he had to do everything by god, etc. I say if your ocd is URGING you to not do something, definitely do it. It'll feel wrong and uncomfortable but that's your ocd trying to hold on for dear life 🥺. Meds help for sure if you're on the correct ones:). Keep watching the show and listening to the CDs. My main ocd themes are so-ocd, rocd and harm ocd so watching tv and listening to music can be very hard for me because of constantly being triggered. If something is triggering ya run towards it! Yes it would be awesome to meet up! I feel very understood in this community for the first time in my life 😊 i do have a lot of things I do, I try to keep busy :) but that could be because of some trauma but who knows 🤣🤷‍♀️ Its probably going to rain here too but I like it as well:) that's a nice way of looking at things with the plants 😊 I hope you have a lovely day too drew!
