And surprisingly, even though this theme is the most physically taxing I prefer it to the intense anxiety I get from real event.
Are you in treatment? ERP and possibly medication in addition is the effective treatment. It takes a lot of hard work but it is worth it
I’m not.. I was in therapy this time last year but my therapist didn’t know what she was doing and made it worse.
@anonymous I totally hear you, I just encourage you to seek proper treatment if at all possible - it's the only way to heal and recover
Hi, I really appreciate you posting this as I’m reading it I feel like “wow I’m not alone” I do the exact same thing with wearing socks downstairs and then changing them once I get into my room. I also experience “dirty” towels and if my shower curtain touches me I have to re shower. I hope you know you are NOT alone... The changing socks can be extremely stressful and what I do now is I bought a “clean” new pair of slippers and if I need to walk around my house I slip them on and then I take them off once I get into my room. ( I find this helps with making less loads of laundry ) I’m not sure if this is helpful or not, but I truly hope things get better for you soon.
Oh my god I cant believe someone else deals with something as specific as this?! I’m really sorry you’re dealing with the same. It’s so exhausting.
@anonymous I hope things get better for you too.
