Helloo I’m going through the same thing as well and I feel like it got worse after I realized that I might have OCD If your parents aren’t aware of mental illnesses but aren’t judgemental you could start off by talking to one of them first and sort of educate them a little about what OCD is (yk the basics) and tell them that you’re struggling even if it isn’t necessarily impairing. If you don’t get the response you want don’t feel afraid or alone or ashamed we’re all here to support you and help you out if we can!!

Doubting whether you have OCD or not is actually another symptom of OCD, you clearly feel very distressed, do you have Obsessions, like something that troubles you a lot, like one can be contamination, where your obsession would be how dirty everything is and the need for everything to be clean, and a compulsion would be something to reduce that anxiety, like cleaning everything in your house, constantly washing your hands to an extreme. It doesn’t have to be this though, it can be any other thing, but yeah, don’t worry, please do talk with your parents about this

Talk to your parents, educate them about OCD some. They can help you to get an OCD therapist. Doubting if you have OCD or not is a very common symptom of OCD that many people experience. Best of luck to you ❤️ you can do it!

I'm 17 and started developing OCD symptoms when I was about 12-13 years old too. From what it sounds like, you most likely do have OCD and telling your parents would be the best thing for you to do. Maybe ask them to do a little research or even send them an article explaining it, because for someone who isn't experiencing it-it will be confusing. I hope you start feeling better soon!
