These moments can be really difficult. It seems like you're having a lot of urges to go back and review the situation to try to get certainty about what you said, how you said it, what you could've done instead, or maybe even flash forwarding into the future to try to prepare for how to handle all of this. The reality is that while all of these things are tempting to do and very difficult to resist doing, it's important to try to stay in the present and not engage in any of those ritualistic behaviors. It sounds counterintuitive, but as much as you think engaging in those behaviors will help you get closer to a place of clarity and certainty, the reality is they will likely end up making you feel worse, making you feel less confident, and making you worry about problems that are not problems just yet. In the meanwhile, try to stay present by bringing your attention back to what is interesting you in that moment - moving on with your day behaviorally as though this event did not happen and behaving as though "maybe this will happen, maybe it won't - there are lots of things in life I can't control and I'm just here trying to be in this present moment!" Good luck. :)
