I experience this basically every day. I don’t know if a perfect cure, but sometimes getting a little something in my stomach settles me down. I wonder if my blood sugar is low in the morning. Sorry you have to deal with this. I know how hard it is.

Thanks for letting me know. I guess it's not blood sugar because it's not happening with me everyday but only when I planning some risky exposure. Might try out modern medicine as a last option as this kind of anxiety is really tiring and debilitating.

This happens to me almost every morning regardless of the days events. I'm taking Ashwagandha which I've seen mentioned here a few times to help with that. I can't say I've seen an improvement though, but that doesn't mean you won't. I've seen posts on Instagram about how to help with morning anxiety, maybe that will help? https://www.instagram.com/p/CVXRzUaMENJ/?utm_medium=copy_link

Yes, I have already Ashwagandha but did not help me. I am reluctant about Modern Medicine because of the side effects. Thanks for sharing the post, will go through it.

@AshwinK Yeah, I agree. I've been trying St. John's Wort as well with the Ashwagandha. I think that has been helping me significantly. But I've heard routine helps a lot with morning anxiety, but I think it depends on the person and stuff. I hope you start to feel better soon though~~

@Anonymous Thanks. I am taking the homeopathic stuff as well but did not work on anxiety especially the morning one. Might have worked on OCD symptoms. Hope I can manage it soon, it becomes a hurdle while taking big and small decisions in life.

Hi AshwinK! Definitely have experienced this, and am actually experiencing it now! It definitely sucks. The best thing to do would be to do the exposures as soon as you get up. That way, you get the distress and anxiety out of the way first thing in the morning. The morning is always the worst time for me and my anxiety as well. Try to show yourself some extra compassion and love during this time. You are stronger than you think!

Thanks for the tips. I usually try to do the exposures in the morning to get rid of the anxiety. However in this case, I was suppose to do the exposure 3 to 4 days later and handling such kind of anxiety for so many days was becoming difficult.

I always feel the most anxiety and dread in the morning. That’s when I start overthinking a lot, and it becomes really hard not to seek reassurance on the internet and so on. What do you all do to ease the morning anxiety a bit?

This one's a "what if" exposure; a way to trace the anxiety spiral and sit with the discomfort it brings, instead of trying to avoid or fix it. Here’s how it works: Start with your anxious thought: 1. “What if A happens?” Then go deeper: “Okay… if A happens, then what?” → “Then B.” 2. And again: “What if B happens?” → “Then C.” 3. Keep going (following the fear, not avoiding it) until you land on the core fear, the real root of the anxiety. It’s usually something sticky, existential, or deeply uncomfortable. 4. Once you’ve found it, stop. Now sit with it (the feeling). Notice how it shows up in your body. Where is the tension? The tightness? The urge to escape, fix, or seek reassurance? And just let it be there. Without trying to solve it. Just you, your body, and the fear; without resistance. This isn’t about fixing the fear. It’s about making room for it. It’s about learning that you can feel the fear and not let it control you.
