So its a win-win
- Date posted
- 3y
Is there a reason why you feel like someone is watching you? In the past have you caught someone watching you?
- Date posted
- 3y
Also, this might not be very good advice, but maybe if you check your home, you can relax knowing no one is in your home watching you.
- Date posted
- 3y
That's the thing, I dont feel comfortable going around my house right now because I feel like someone is going to follow me and attack from behind. Also, I havent found anyone watching me before and have experienced this paranoia before, but very briefly. It has been almost 30 minutes now and the paranoia hasnt gone away
- Date posted
- 3y
I have this certain place in the kitchen in the corner where I feel safe and I dont want to leave it
- Date posted
- 3y
Is there anyone in your house that can check for you?
- Date posted
- 3y
No, my dads are gone on vacation right now and my sister is sleeping. Id feel much better if a family member was here right now
- Date posted
- 3y
And my sister wont have time when she gets up, she has school today
- Date posted
- 3y
It's almost like I can hear this very light breathing sound
- Date posted
- 3y
Because your sister is sleeping safely, would this help you feel better that no one is in your house?
- Date posted
- 3y
Would it make you feel better to message me as you go to your room? Do you have a lock on your room door?
- Date posted
- 3y
I sleep in the living room, but the main door is in the living room and before I got too paranoid, I went ahead and locked both the back door and the front door. I suppose it does help knowing that my sister is safe. I even moved some things to the kitchen like my phone charger and then ran to the kitchen so I wouldnt have to go back there.
- Date posted
- 3y
@Fabcat17 Im not sure if messaging would comfort me enough to go back into the living room
- Date posted
- 3y
I guess I could try and see if messaging helps. I think the paranoia might be easing up now. Im going to try to go to the living room. Well, on second thought maybe it's not easing up, maybe i could wait until daytime, that would help
- Date posted
- 3y
Do you feel better now that you have locked both doors?
- Date posted
- 3y
I mean, I know I locked the doors but I still have the sense of paranoia
- Date posted
- 3y
Ah, I assumed you slept in your bedroom. Once when I was home alone, I felt nervous that someone might be in my house too. So, I texted a family member as I went to bed. It comforted me, so I hoped it could have comforted you
- Date posted
- 3y
It does comfort me and make me feel safer, however, if I was to go back to the living room, I just wouldnt feel safe there
- Date posted
- 3y
It's mostly the location of where I am that affect my paranoia
- Date posted
- 3y
You proved to yourself that you were brave enough to lock not only the front door, but the back door even though you were scared. You also moved other things in house to your kitchen
- Date posted
- 3y
That is true, and I just checked my phone and my location is turned off, so that also helps
- Date posted
- 3y
The location thing really helps because location-related things are really what my paranoia goes off of
- Date posted
- 3y
How are you feeling right now?
- Date posted
- 3y
Also, hopefully this make you feel better, but you have your phone with you. So, if God forbid you feel unsafe, you are able to immediately call the police
- Date posted
- 3y
Yeah, I could always call the police, but I feel like I would be making a fake emergency call. And it's not exactly that I think "someone" is watching me, it's mostly just this paranoia of an entity, like paranormal, but I dont really believe paranormal things, but I nonetheless feel like an entity will appear and attack me
- Date posted
- 3y
Thats one reason why locking my doors didnt really seal the deal for me
- Date posted
- 3y
Are you religious?
- Date posted
- 3y
No, im not religious, but one thing that does make sense if that I watch a lot of horror games on YouTube and that could be contributing to building up the paranoia
- Date posted
- 3y
If -> is** sorry for typo
- Date posted
- 3y
I did watch horror games earlier today
- Date posted
- 3y
Maybe it’s best if you stay away from watching those stuff
- Date posted
- 3y
Definetly while im experiencing paranoia, thats for sure, but im pretty sure I wouldnt want to at times like this anyhow.
- Date posted
- 3y
Im going to see if I can walk to the living room, be right back
- Date posted
- 3y
Nope, couldnt do it
- Date posted
- 3y
I got maybe less than half the way there then I was like "nope"
- Date posted
- 3y
It’s great you’re doing this!
- Date posted
- 3y
At least you were able to do a little of it. It’s better than nothing
- Date posted
- 3y
Yeah, it's good that im exposing myself to the uneasy feeling, even if it's little by little
- Date posted
- 3y
The paranoia gets really bad when im up moving around and not too bad when im stationary and sitting down
- Date posted
- 3y
I don’t how much this may help, but does reminding yourself that the horror things in video games are fake help you to relax?
- Date posted
- 3y
I guess thinking about the impossibility of a game programmed on a computer being in real life helps
- Date posted
- 3y
And I guess it's where im near a corner right now in the kitchen so nothing can really be behind me if im in a corner
- Date posted
- 3y
But like I said, as soon as I get up and move around, the paranoia gets worse
- Date posted
- 3y
Im not as paranoid when I walk over to the fridge, that's a start
- Date posted
- 3y
All your life you never saw anything horror related in the games in real life. Plus, as you were in the living room, nothing appeared behind you
- Date posted
- 3y
That’s a great start!
- Date posted
- 3y
You know, when I was around people at my grandma's house, I never really felt like something was going to appear behind me. However, I did have these moments when I would look at the hallway and think I saw something there, but my peripheral vision just thought something was there
- Date posted
- 3y
But then id just brush it off because I felt safe with my family there
- Date posted
- 3y
During that time would you watch horror stuff?
- Date posted
- 3y
Well that was easy!!! I legit just went another way to the living room that I was more comfortable with, turned on some lights and boom! Dont feel paranoid at all! 😂😂
- Date posted
- 3y
@Fabcat17 I turned the lights on on the way to the living room through our old kitchen (the dining room way was the direction to the living room that paranoid me more)
- Date posted
- 3y
Usually anytime
- Date posted
- 3y
Maybe it’s because of all the horror games you watched, your mind was thinking of that
- Date posted
- 3y
That’s great! I am so happy for you! 🙌
- Date posted
- 3y
Haha, thank you so much, I guess it was because I was scared something was going to appear out of the dark!! And the best part is that I can sleep with lights on too!!
- Date posted
- 3y
Thank you so unbelievably much for being so patient and helping me through this 😌 im so grateful, if it wasnt for you guiding me through exposure to the paranoia, I wouldnt have been able to go and turn on the lights on the way to the living room!!
- Date posted
- 3y
I’m glad. Are you going to go to sleep now
- Date posted
- 3y
I just mentioned the sleep thing because I can sleep in these conditions, as well as feel safe while im awake.
- Date posted
- 3y
Maybe soon, I wasnt really wanting to get over the paranoia so I could go to sleep, it was more or less because I just wanted to feel safe
- Date posted
- 3y
Thank you so much for your kind words. Honestly, I did nothing at all. You were brave enough to do something even though you felt scared to do it
- Date posted
- 3y
Thank you! I'm just happy it's over, I better go and edit my Facebook post that I posted for my family to see about me being paranoid before they worry about me.
- Date posted
- 3y
I edited the post and said that I literally just went and turned on some lights and now im perfecrly fine *facepalm* 😂

i’m so scared that my teacher knows about my OCD thoughts because once for therapy i had to write a diary and i did this on a school system stupidly which had documents that are private but can be flagged for mentions of suicide/self harm etc, but i didn’t write about that but what if what i did write about flagged up and she saw my thoughts also im annoyed because everytime i go in the bathroom at school i have to flick the light switch three times or i will fail my exams and if someone is in there i don’t do it but keep a count of how many overdue flicks of the light switch then go in the toilet when no one is in there and do it im also so stressed - what if its not ocd? that’s all i can think about at the moment

PLEASE HELP ANY ANSWER WILL DO So I moved to a big city a few months earlier and it was summer, so it was hot. I slept with my window and balcony door open for air. One night, whilst i was trying to sleep, i heard what seemed to be a woman m*aning at times. At first it was annoying and was like omg stfu but it's embarrassing but soon I felt a bit aroused by it. Then, so many months later, I got a thought, what if it wasn't a woman but a child crying? And I got so terrified and I began trying to remember the memory again to remember exactly what I heard, then began looking on youtube what children sound like when they cry to make sure it wasn't what I heard. I'm absolutely terrified. I can't even check to make sure. I need help
